主癥

疼痛突然發(fā)作，呈陣發(fā)性閃電樣劇痛，其痛如刀割、針刺、火灼、病人難以忍受，每次發(fā)作持續(xù)時(shí)間短暫，數(shù)秒或1-2分鐘，一天可以發(fā)作多次。常因觸及面部的某一點(diǎn)而誘發(fā)。常伴有面部肌肉抽搐、流淚、流涕及流涎等癥，或有外感癥狀，脈弦緊。

Main Manifestations

Abrupt onset of pain occurs like an electric shock. The pain in cutting, burning and intolerable, but transient and paroxysmal. Each attack lasts a few seconds or one to two minutes. It may occur by the local spasm, lacrimation , nasal discharge and salivation as well as the exterior symptoms and string-taut, tense pulse.

主癥

除上述典型癥狀外，兼有煩躁，易怒，口渴，便秘，苔黃而干，脈多弦數(shù)。

Main Manifestations

Besides the characters of pain in last type, it combines with irritability, hot temper, thirst, constipation, yellow, dry tongue coating and string-taut rapid pulse.

主癥

痛勢(shì)較緩，并兼有形質(zhì)消瘦，顴紅，腰酸，神倦，每遇勞累則面痛發(fā)作加劇，脈細(xì)數(shù)，舌紅少苔。

Main Manifestations

Insidions pain, emaciation, malar flush, soreness in the lumbar region, lassitude, pain aggravated by fatigue, thready, rapid pulse, red tongue with little coating.

治法

以分部近取與循經(jīng)遠(yuǎn)取相結(jié)合。毫針刺用瀉法，持續(xù)捻針。

Treatment

The points are selected from the local area and the distal and along the course of the affected meridians, and punctured by reduing manipulation with filiform needles combining with continuous rotation.

眶上痛：陽(yáng)白 魚(yú)腰 攢竹 太陽(yáng) 合谷
上頜痛：四白 顴髎 迎香 合谷
下頜痛：下關(guān) 頰車 大迎夾 承漿 合谷

Prescription

Pain at supraorbital region : Yangbai (GB 14), Yugao (EX-HN 4), Cuanzhu (BL 2), Taiyang (EX-HN 5), Hegu (LI 4).

隨證配穴

感受風(fēng)寒加風(fēng)池；
肝胃郁火加太沖、內(nèi)庭；
陰虛火旺加照海、三陰交。

Additional Points

Invasion of pathogenic wind and cold : Fengchi (GB 20);
Stagnation of fire in the liver and stomach : Taichong (LR 3), Neiting (ST 44);
Excessive fire due to Yin deficiency : Zhaohai (KI 6), Sangyinjiao (SP 6).
