穴義

外，內(nèi)外之外；勞，勞動(dòng)；宮，宮室。
手為勞動(dòng)器官，手心有穴名勞宮。
此穴在手背面，與勞宮相對，故名。

Meaning

Wai, lateral or outer; lao, work; gong, palace or room.
The hand is a working organ and there is an other point named Laogong(PC8) on the palmar center. But this point is on the dorsum and opposite to Laogong(PC8). So, it was named Wailaogong.

定位

在手背側(cè)，第二、三掌骨之間，掌指關(guān)節(jié)后0.5寸(指寸)。

Location

On the dorsum of the hand, between the second and third metacarpal bones, 0.5 cun(finger inch) posterior to the metacarpophalangeal joint.

主治

1. 落枕，手臂痛
2. 胃痛

Indication

1. stiff neck, pain of the hand and arm.
2. gastric pain.

針法

直刺或斜刺0.5-0.8寸

Method

perpendicular or oblique insertion 0.5-0.8 cun.
