Traditional Usages and Functions
Clears heat and cools Blood; nourishes Yin and Blood and generates Fluids; cools upward blazing of Heart Fire. By raising Yin and increasing production of Fluids, this herb also settles Yang, thus reducing heat in a more stable way than by simply extinguishing Fire. Used for Wasting and Thirsting Syndrome.
