Chemistry—An Asian Journal will be published monthly from mid-2006 as a sister journal to Chemistry—A European Journal and Angewandte Chemie. Chemistry—An Asian Journal is intended to become an international high-impact journal for chemistry in its broadest sense. The journal will cover all aspects of chemistry from biochemistry through organic and inorganic chemistry to physical chemistry, including interdisciplinary topics. Chemistry—An Asian Journal will publish Full Papers and Focus Reviews. A professional editorial team headed by Dr. Peter G?litz (also Editor of Angewandte Chemie) and an Editorial Board (headed by Professor Ryoji Noyori, Nobel Laureate) will ensure the highest quality of the peer-review process, the contents and the production of the journal. Chemistry—An Asian Journal is co-owned by the Chinese Chemical Society, the Chemical Research Society of India, the Chemical Society of Japan, the Korean Chemical Society, the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry, and the Chemical Society Located in Taipei, China, which form the Asian Chemical Editorial Society (ACES). The Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh, German Chemical Society) supports Chemistry—An Asian Journal and has agreed that all institutional customers of Angewandte Chemie are entitled to receive the new journal in its initial phase, guaranteeing the highest possible visibility from the start.
