Direct Supervisor’s Title: Franchise Head – Ophtha
Job Purpose (Briefly state in one sentence the overall objective of the role)：
Provide thorough up-to-date medical, clinical development expertise to drive messages delivery to key influencers and stakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally in the execution of relevant scientific and clinical activities in assigned Brands(s).
Major Responsibilities：
Brand Specific Strategy and Medical Activities
1、Contribute to IPS strategy and its alignment of assigned Product(s) cross functionally.
2、Develops tactical plans within IPS for Scientific Communications/local BOS strategy and activities.
3、Review and approval Promotional materials as a faculty number of materials clearance committee to ensure they are fully aligned with NP4 guideline from scientific point of view.
4、Ensure compliance with safety reporting requirements and RMP execution by closely working with DS&E.
5、Review patients compensation claims by suspected AE for assigned products according therapeutic knowledge, relevant SOP and feedback to Legal department.
Medical Affairs Studies (MAS)
1、Define, initiate, coordinate and manage Local BOS activities including local PMS studies, Phase IV study in line with GCP, Local regulations and Global BOS Strategy and plan.
2、Ensures GCP compliance and adherence to Novartis Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for conduct of trial activities.
3、Be responsible for GCR approval/Application for Global approval for Local Phase IV Studies, PMS, third party studies/IIT and animal/in vitro studies.
4、Be responsible for Documents Preparation (Study Concept Sheet, Trial Protocol and final study reports and publications) of Local Phase IV and PMS trials.
5、May serve as project leader of Phase IV/PMS trials before operation and after operation finished.
6、Be responsible for publications of Local Phase IV and PMS trials timely.
Scientific Information /Messages Management
1、Define and manage on Key scientific messages for assigned product(s) through scientific slides deck, presentations and other tools.
2、Provide comprehensive Disease/Therapy/ Product presentations and training to internal and external customers, including the field force, for the accurate delivery of messages.
3、Build strong relationship with scientific associations jointly
gydjdsj.org.cn/zhicheng/ with marketing and MSL through advisory board meetings; Define and prepare the contents of brand specific Advisory board Meeting to ensure compliance with NP4 guidelines.
4、Provide broad and deep understanding of the assigned products and diseases cross functionally. Seen as credible medical and scientific expert by internal and external customers.
5、Provide thorough up-to-date therapeutic information to drive Novartis messages delivery to key influencers and stakeholders.
Required Knowledge and Skill (Physical and moral base)：
Medical Advisor：
2+ years experience in clinical medicine and/or clinical research
Work experience within the pharmaceutical industry preferred
Fluent in Chinese and English writing and speaking
Well-developed planning and resource allocation skills;
Strong communication skills;
Customer orientation;
Knowledge of allocated therapeutic area and GCP preferred
Senior Medical Advisor：
MD or PhD with unique knowledge for successful clinical program development and execution, with 3+ years of clinical research experience/pharmaceutical industry experience required.
Advanced medical/scientific writing and communication skills
Proven ability to work both independently or in a cross functional team setting.
Proven ability to design, interpret, discuss and represent clinical trial data and establish effective working relationship with investigators and KOLs.
Medical and /or scientific expertise within a disease area preferred.
Required Education Background ：
Preferred: Clinical bachelor degree or higher (preferable with 2 yrs of clinical practice experience)
