（1)“拆卸拼裝”策略。只涉及句子的部分重新組裝；有時(shí)候，一些詞語(yǔ)要進(jìn)行“意譯”或“轉(zhuǎn)譯”。

He always lives ahead of his salary.

*他總是生活在他工資之前。

他的生活開(kāi)銷總是超過(guò)他的工資收入。

*I would suggest,however,that it should be limited to a definite period of time,let''s say two years,so as to avoid the encouraging of an abnormal attitude which refuses any kind of social obligation.

結(jié)構(gòu)分析：句子的框架是I would suggest，that it should be limited to…，so as to avoid。attitude which refuses…。that引導(dǎo)賓語(yǔ)從句，作suggest的賓語(yǔ)。Let''s say two years作插入語(yǔ)，這個(gè)從句包含一個(gè)由so as to引導(dǎo)的目的狀語(yǔ)。關(guān)系代詞which引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句，修飾attitude.it在此指代“subsistence”，意為“生活維持費(fèi)”。

參考譯文：然而，我想建議，這種生活維持費(fèi)必須限制在一定的期限內(nèi)，比如說(shuō)兩年，以避免鼓勵(lì)一種反常的態(tài)度，即不肯承擔(dān)任何社會(huì)義務(wù)。

結(jié)構(gòu)分析：句子的框架是…the suspicions against。are not groundless from。those who want to use…這個(gè)句子的主語(yǔ)比較長(zhǎng)，介詞短語(yǔ)against a system of。作定語(yǔ)修飾the suspicions.關(guān)系代詞who引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句，修飾those.groundless在此句中譯為“無(wú)根據(jù)的”。

參考譯文：然而，有些人想利用資本所有權(quán)來(lái)迫使其他人接受他們提供的工作條件。從這些人的立場(chǎng)來(lái)看，對(duì)最低生活保障制度持懷疑態(tài)度不是沒(méi)有道理的。

（2)“游移詞句策略”。整個(gè)英語(yǔ)句子不分前后部分，完全打亂后進(jìn)行翻譯。其中發(fā)揮漢語(yǔ)的表達(dá)優(yōu)勢(shì)，例如漢語(yǔ)的狀語(yǔ)常常在句首，所以可以把狀語(yǔ)從原文中游移出來(lái)，另外譯成一句話。注意：原文中的and可靈活譯成漢語(yǔ)的詞組：“不但…而且…”。

The company''s top executives all are refugees from the country''s bureaucratic and underfinanced state research sector.

該公司的高層管理人員都來(lái)自該國(guó)的國(guó)家研究機(jī)構(gòu)，這些機(jī)構(gòu)不僅充滿官僚主義主義氣息，而且研究經(jīng)費(fèi)不足，他們很難在那里呆下去。

Food manufacturers are flooding the UK market with new products // in response to rising demand // from a population hungry forsomething different.

顯然，此句在邏輯上可以分解為4組意群：

1)（there is)a population hungry for [形容詞短語(yǔ)作population的定語(yǔ)。]

2) the demand is rising

3) in response to this demand

4) food manufacturers are flooding…with…

英國(guó)人極想“嘗鮮/新”，要求與日俱增。針對(duì)這種情況，食品生產(chǎn)商正一個(gè)勁兒地向英國(guó)市場(chǎng)大量投放各種新產(chǎn)品。

*The opinions,which were current a hundred years ago,that the poor owed their conditions to their ignorance,lack of responsibility,are outdated.

結(jié)構(gòu)分析：句子的框架是The opinions，which were current…，that the poor owed。to，are outdated.關(guān)系代詞which引導(dǎo)非限制性定語(yǔ)從句，修飾主語(yǔ)the opinions.關(guān)系代詞that引導(dǎo)同位語(yǔ)從句，作the opinions的同位語(yǔ)。謂語(yǔ)是are outdated.current在此句中澤為“流行的”。owe…to譯為“把……歸因于”。

參考譯文：100年前流行的看法認(rèn)為，窮人應(yīng)該把他們的狀況歸因于他們無(wú)知、缺乏責(zé)任心；但這種觀點(diǎn)現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)過(guò)時(shí)了。

結(jié)構(gòu)分析：句子的框架是“主語(yǔ)＋謂語(yǔ)＋賓從”。Conjure up的賓語(yǔ)是those mysterious phantoms of visual reality，后跟定語(yǔ)從句we call “pictures”。by…shades or colors是方式狀語(yǔ)；conjure up原意是“使想起，回憶”，這里作“呈現(xiàn)”較好。

參考譯文：我認(rèn)為，我們必須恢復(fù)對(duì)這種能力的驚奇感，這種能力能使我們借助于形式、線條、陰影或色彩來(lái)呈現(xiàn)那些我們稱之為“圖畫”的反映視覺(jué)現(xiàn)實(shí)的神秘幻景。

*The way the language of art refers to the visible world is both so obvious and so mysterious that it is still largely unknown except to artists,who use it as we use all language-without needing to know its grammar and semantics.

結(jié)構(gòu)分析：本句主干是the way is so…that…句型；the way后跟定語(yǔ)從句，artists后跟一定語(yǔ)從句，從句后又跟了一個(gè)比較方式狀語(yǔ)從句；refer to原意為“提到；參考”，這里翻譯為“表達(dá)，描述”較恰當(dāng)。

參考譯文：美術(shù)語(yǔ)言表達(dá)可見(jiàn)世界的方式是多么顯而易見(jiàn)，又是多么神秘莫測(cè)，因而，除了美術(shù)家外，對(duì)大多數(shù)人來(lái)說(shuō)，多半還處于未知領(lǐng)域。美術(shù)家使用美術(shù)語(yǔ)言，正如我們使用一切語(yǔ)言一樣，并不需要懂得語(yǔ)言的語(yǔ)法知識(shí)和語(yǔ)義學(xué)知識(shí)。

（3)得“意”忘“形”策略（或稱“取意丟形”)。這種做法指的是：宏觀上可以不顧原句結(jié)構(gòu)，同時(shí)想辦法將原句的意思“轉(zhuǎn)譯”出來(lái)，但這也并不排除句中的某些結(jié)構(gòu)或詞句位置需要保持不變。

He acts a lot older // than his years.

*他的行為要比他的年歲老得多。

他年紀(jì)輕輕，做事卻相當(dāng)老練。

The minimal cost for taking taxi // far outweighs the inconvenience // of being immobile in this vast urban area.

城區(qū)廣大，交通不便，無(wú)法走動(dòng)，所以出這么點(diǎn)錢坐出租車還是非常劃得來(lái)的（上算的)。

Production capacity is grossly underused with many idle workers and machines obvious to any visitor to the state factory.

生產(chǎn)能力根本沒(méi)有充分利用。到這家國(guó)營(yíng)工廠參觀，進(jìn)入眼簾的是機(jī)器設(shè)備閑置，許多工人無(wú)濟(jì)于事。

[注釋：①with結(jié)構(gòu)作狀語(yǔ)的翻譯；②注意一句話中，同一個(gè)形容詞“idle”的兩種譯法：“閑置”和“無(wú)濟(jì)于事”。
